Generally, the majority of Singaporeans (74.4%) find that it is very and extremely important to have an annual budget plan for Singapore – just like how we tend to plan our finances carefully!
But whom do Singaporeans think the budget plan will benefit?
Interestingly, while 3 in 5 Singaporeans found the 2021’s Budget to be beneficial for the country, only 2 in 5 Singaporeans agree that it will benefit them as individuals.
Also, 1 in 2 Singaporeans believe that the 2021’s Budget is more favourable for others instead.
In light of the current Covid-19 situation, it is no wonder that Healthcare matters (26%) emerged as the most wanted topic that Singaporeans would like to see getting addressed in the budget.
Housing came a close second at 22%, while other Transport and Social matters were tied in third place at 13%.
As the name of Budget 2021 would have it, the support measures announced by the Government serves to help Singaporeans of all age groups emerge stronger as a united nation in a post-pandemic world.
