In this month’s Quick Polls, let’s see what people feel about Singapore’s public transport!
Despite public transport here being fairly affordable compared to other developed countries, 4 in 10 of those we polled feel that it is more expensive. Close to 3 in 10 (27%) feel that it is less expensive.
Nonetheless, how much we pay to take the bus, train or taxi is just part of the public transport experience. One important component is the convenience it brings to our daily lives.

Half of those surveyed said they find public transport here convenient, while close to 4 in 10 (39%) feel it is very convenient. This is encouraging news as we move towards going ‘car-lite’ to reduce the number of vehicles on roads and have public transport as the primary seamless mode of getting around.
With the rail network expanding, increased bus routes and even driverless buses venturing onto our roads, commuters can expect greater speed and accessibility as they travel around the island. Looking forward to smoother rides ahead! 😊
