An ethnic enclave is an area where an ethnic group is concentrated and there is a strong ethnic identity! 

Examples include our well-loved Little India, Kampong Glam, and Chinatown!

Importance of Singapore’s ethnic enclaves

Now, are these areas an important part of experiencing Singapore’s various ethnic festivals such as Deepavali, Ramadan and Chinese New Year?

It’s heartening that a total of 87% of Singaporeans agree that ethnic enclaves play a significant role in our ethnic festivals!
